Dr. Aasheim is honored to join the Oregon Distance Learning Retention & Completion Conference, where she will share her insights on fostering student growth through intentional guidance while embracing the concept of “desirable difficulties.” Her keynote will focus on striking just the right balance between support and challenge, helping students discover the “zone of optimal challenge” wherein they can best perform.

Dr. Aasheim will delve into the overt and covert challenges faced by today’s learners and will explore the complexities of compounded engagement barriers. She will present practical strategies to facilitate meaningful engagement and promote growth, even in the presence of these challenges, so as best to promote student retention and completion.
